About the Speakers

Anna Reade works at the intersection of science and policy to reduce and eliminate harmful exposures to toxic chemicals for the safety of people and the environment. As NRDC's lead scientist on PFAS, she conducts research and develops innovative scientific tools and freely available resources to support wider understanding and communication of PFAS science.

Erick Orellana is a native of the Central Valley and a graduate of California State University. He joined Community Water Center in 2021 and currently serves as a Senior Policy Advocate and leads the safe and clean drinking water program implementation, engages community leaders and members in water policy development, and advises California Agencies on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to achieve the Human Right to Water.
