About the Speakers:

David González is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences whose research focuses on how pollution from extractive industries and climate-driven disasters affects public health. His research also examines structural factors that contribute to health disparities.

Bhavna Shamasunder teaches and conducts research at the intersection of environmental health & justice with a focus on inequalities in chemical exposures faced by low-income communities and communities of color who live and work in urban and/or industrial environments.
